Pumpkin Madness

Top 5 Reasons to Come to Our Pumpkin Madness Festival

This year our Pumpkin Madness Festival is on November 1st! The farm is open from 10am-10pm, but pumpkin activities run from 12pm-5pm. We hope to see you there!

1. Pumpkin Foods EVERYWHERE!

Our local fire department will be here selling practically any kind of pumpkin food you can think of! Pumpkin whoopee pies, roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin fudge, and of course, pumpkin pie! And in case you get tired of pumpkin foods, our Home Cookin’ Café, Chuck Wagon, and other food stations will be open with a wide array of hot foods to choose from!

2. The Chance to Smash Pumpkins…

…in so many different ways! You can hurl a pumpkin through the air to prove your strength, send a pumpkin up in the cherry-picker to be dropped from a height of over 30 feet, or just grab a mallet and start smashing at our Pumpkin Smash Station!

3. You Might Win a Prize!

We give out prizes randomly throughout the day at our Pumpkin Drop, or you can participate in our Pumpkin Chucking contest for a chance to win Season Passes. There are even some games for the Tiny Sprouts to play for a chance to win, like Pumpkin Bowling and Pin-the-Face-on-the-Pumpkin!

4. Our Beautiful Pumpkin Princess!

Snap a picture or a get a hug from our Pumpkin Princess. She will make an appearance several times throughout the day, and is always happy to meet and greet any of our guests who want to come say hi!

5. And Don't Miss the Infamous GIANT Pumpkin Drop!

While we drop smaller pumpkins continuously throughout the day, the main attraction is close to the end of the day! We lift an enormous pumpkin in the air, dangling beneath the cherry-picker basket, to the oohs and ahhs of the eager crowd. After we count down from 10, we release the pumpkin and it comes smashing to the ground! Make sure you stand back if you don’t want to get splashed… it makes quite the impressive SPLAT! Last year’s pumpkin, grown by Paul & Cheryl Fulk, weighed a whopping 1744 lbs, and who knows—we might out-do ourselves this year. Check out the video of the monster pumpkin—dubbed “Snowball”—plummeting to the ground!
