Whats New 2018
What’s New in 2018?
We’re always trying to add new kinds of FUN at the farm—take a peek at what we’re unveiling this year!
New Corn Bin!
Check out our brand new BIGGER corn bin, in the Lil Farmer’s Playland! This is one of our most popular attractions for the little guys, so we made it bigger and better. Don’t worry, you’ll still find lots of trucks, tractors and other digging equipment to haul that corn around.
Baby Changing/Nursing Mothers Station in the Barnyard - COMING SOON!
We’re adding a second baby changing/nursing mothers station in the Barnyard, in the Lil Farmer’s Playland area! This air-conditioned building provides rocking chairs for moms who are looking for a quiet place to nurse their little ones. In the other half of the building are diaper changing stations.
Our biggest endeavor this year was creating Sproutsville, a miniature village located up in the Barnyard in the Lil Farmer’s Playland! Though its diminutive size caters to our littlest guests, the whole family can enjoy visiting this tiny town. You’ll find a post office, a garage, a veterinary hospital, a farmer’s market, a sweet ice cream shop, a barn and a schoolhouse. There are lots of hands-on, educational activities that will keep your family busy for hours. Don’t worry, mom and dad can stand up inside too—though you might have to duck to get in the doors!
Our 23rd annual Amazing Maize Maze – “Board Game Madness!”
Did you know that every year we change our corn maze into a brand new design? This keeps it fresh and enjoyable for guests who come back year after year. This year’s theme is “Board Game Madness!” We’re rolling out a brand new game to play in the cornfield… “The Farm Life Game!” As you travel around the maze, you’ll find hidden game stations that are reminiscent of board games that the whole family can enjoy! Follow the instructions to scratch off a portion of your game board, and you’ll uncover different monetary amounts—agricultural gains and losses. Tally up your earnings at the end of the maze to see if your group would make it as a real farming family! Of course, you’ll still find all your old favorite activities in the maze—the straw bale tower, rope walk, misting bike, photo ops and more!
